    So, can I just purchase a 620mm "banjo" belt for a 6psi GSR at my local Autozone? Also, what size and type of belt should I buy for the alternator. Sorry, but I've never purchased a belt before, but have replaced a few. I have about 20k miles on my charger and this thread is wakeup call. Thanks guys.

    Buying belts is always lots of fun. wink

    First, unless you're lucky, all the belts are behind the counter and the service guy's brain goes into "limp mode" after you fail to provide him with make/model/application to punch into his computer.

    Once you get this guy good and confused, talk your way behind the counter and start browsing the belts.

    Now that you're in front of the belts, guess what? They're all labeled in inches. Most belts do have the mm size printed on the belt itself, but not the packaging.

    You need a 4 rib 620mm belt.

    1" = 25.4mm so 620/25.4 = 24.4".

    Start looking for a belt labeled: 4PK245

    The "4" means 4 ribs. PK means? Probably differs brand to brand. 245 means 24.5" (they probably won't have a 24.4".

    Pull that belt out of its' packaging and find the mm sizing printed on the belt. If it says 620mm, you're done. Otherwise, keep looking.

    Good luck.

    Greg

    BTW: Some, but not all, Pep Boys stores have the belts out in the store where you can get at them.
